Trial and Error

I have quickly come to realize that my 1:1 iPad journey is all about trial and error.  Things will be going great, and then out of the blue, some kind of technology glitch will happen.  You have to learn to be extremely flexible when it comes to using technology, but the benefits definitely outweigh the frustrations.

My students have become pros at using the QR Codes for their Stations Work.  The QR Codes link them over to specific instructions, links on DropBox, websites, etc.  It has been so much fun making them and using them in class.  No more trays of Stations Work sitting on my counter.  It is all available to them on their iPads.  Another GREAT thing about it?  Well, if a student gets behind or is absent, if they have scanned the QR Code on their iPad, they can finish the work at home.

I have MANY changes planned for next year.  I am looking forward to starting the entire school year off with the iPads and focusing on student-centered learning all year long!

My Staff Developer sent me this link to a video that has made me really stop and think that the possibilities of working with technology and using it to the students' benefit are just ENDLESS!  It makes me excited to be part of what the future in education holds!
